Review: Studio Sands

My day was almost way too amazing.

I started my day waking up next to the most adorable man. We cleared a morning meet up and went off for breakfast. He really really really tried his best to stay awake but of course, he dozed off a while after that and I headed off to pole class.

I've tried Studio Sands before, as an outsider renting their studio. It was my first time joining a proper class. But I remembered what my friend said about Studio Sands being much more physically demanding than other studios so I was slightly worried.

I needn't have been!

My instructor is fucking amazing and so are the girls in class. They are playful, they are energetic, they catch on fast, and they glide like silk. Now, SLAP is starting to seem less attractive by the day.

The Kpop pole here at Studio Sands is mainly floor-work. It is a lot of swaying and waving, not so much of pole mounting. We did our dance to a Kpop song that made no sense to me but I can now sing it sound for sound because it has to go with my moves hehe.

In the beginning, I was put at the front because I was the KFit outlier in the class and the kind instructor was worried I couldn't catch up. But I could do the pole moves and the waves so after a while, she forgot she put me at the front for trial and left me there lol.

WHICH IS GREATTT because in the video, I could see each of my moves to its clearest crispness, even the embarrassing parts.

Review in a nutshell? I loved every second of it.

So moving on, pole made me late for my yoga classes at One Wellness.

I have no photos of this place because 1) it was the first KFit partner to officially charge me $15 for being late (MY KFIT CLASS BEFORE THAT DELAYED DAMMIT) and 2) I saw Yihan and I was so thrown off I truly forgot photos hahaha.

In the end the session proved too much for me. I was sore all over from my core work and hot yoga session at Shiva the day before and couldn't last much on each leg before giving way. I need a break but I can't take giving myself one. The dilemma is real.

Headed to baby's after!

We were due to go to Feast Day at Christ the King.

It was drizzling as we left the house so he took off his jacket and patted it lovingly around my shoulder. But instead of returning the Taiwan-flavored action, I complained "nooo I don't want to carry this! You wear!" and he exasperatedly said I never allow him to be sweet heh heh so cute.

When we were on the bus earlier, he tried to mimic me humph-ing and whining. I was so unimpressed by his rendition that I tried to teach him the correct style. And he kept looking at me and laughing and telling me I'm the most adorable thing. I could melt in that laugh. My silly thing.

He spent a bit of the night making way inappropriate jokes and so I tried to do my first ever cross sign to counter his evil but I went the wrong side up and he kept laughing and somehow, we ended up researching how alive Satanism is in Singapore.

Isn't he the most interesting man?!

My hair is so mossy Jesus Christ.

I spent a bit of the night looking disapprovingly at a teenager who was at his table WITH HIS EARPHONES ON through the whole banquet. You could see from the body mannerisms that the mum was trying to talk to him but he gave no shit. I kept staring, annoyed.

Gabriel noticed it eventually and asked me what's the matter. I angrily gestured to the man-child and may have overly loudly went SO RUDE THAT BOY! with the most scrunched up face I could muster. And he laughed at how adorable he thought my dirty look was and forgot about the rude boy.

I spent a portion of the night complaining about how we never go on dates anymore and so we decided to go for a movie night!

My gif for this burst of photos is the sweetest gif heh heh.

I was quite bored at the beginning of the movie and hence almost fell asleep. So he'd keep looking at me to check if I'm dead yet and to pull the jacket up for me whenever it slipped off because I kept fidgeting. I'm so sorry to the movie goers next to me.

I fell asleep a happy little spoon :)
