I had tickets for the skyride and luge but baby suggested we cleared my KFit activities first. And so, we alighted at Imbiah and trudged up! He was breathless and dying before even reaching the top heh heh so adorable.
I signed up and went for the Parajump.
Baby was taking sneaky photos of me gearing up heh heh so adorable this man.
The stairs up weren't much to take. I kept thinking meh, what is 15 meters, me and Gabriel leaped off a 60 meters edge and survived. In my head, I still didn't register that the most important part of that statement was that I was with Gabriel. But upwards I continued.
I listened to the instructions without feeling much fear. The facilitator latched the rings onto my harness and told me to stand at a little red box. I felt safe. Then she stood behind me and slowly prodded me to the edge. And here I freaked out.
I kept saying no no no no no wait wait wait don't push me and she assured me she wouldn't. The fear is fucking real, I tell you. I looked up to try to eliminate the fear but in that split second, the Pattaya skyline view loomed before my eyes and I seriously freaked out.
But she was behind me egging me on and it was only 15 meters and it wasn't even a free fall, it was a controlled one. And so this line burned like fire across my mind.
"Take a step and it'll all be over."
I held my breath, stepped one foot out and fell 15 meters down, landing squarely on my ass.
It truly wasn't that bad. The fall was controlled and slow because I was light. It was just.. the fear of stepping off the edge that terrified me. The phobia from Thailand sits very real with me. But I made it I made it I made it.
And then I ran to my baby for comfort :(
I headed off to the MegaZip after!
It was truly the dullest thing. I've seen people zip-line across dozens of times when I was below them at Siloso and they always looked so paralyzed, screaming their mothers as they flew. So I expected this to be near the degree of damage Parajump did to me at the top.
But it wasn't.
In fact, I was so stable, I could take my phone (unstrapped) out of my bag pack and shoot burst photos three seconds into my glide. I was so worried the speed would cause me to tremble but nooo I could've made tea during the zip-line and finished it before I reached the end.
Baby was waiting at the other end and he managed to capture me looking awfully neglected as my facilitator took his time to get me.
See what I mean?
Also I look like I could be 1.6 meters here Jesus Christ.
I didn't know where he was but I had to go down to return the harness across the beach so I ambled down pretty nonchalantly till I saw him waiting at the foot of the stairs! So I broke into an excited run/ skip!
Final result:
My darling man heh heh.
In the end, the skyride and luge went down and we couldn't do the ride. So it was an entirely wasted trip for baby but he didn't mind. I am the luckiest girl. We went on ahead to our secret mall and after our inspection, we headed over to Ikea!
Was waiting for him to be done whatever he was doing.
We were choosing between furniture for our future home. He has his sights on this sea-view apartment in Punggol and elaborated that to bid, we have to be engaged. And gave me the cutest winky face awww my darling thing.
Night time was catching up on work while he catches up on the D.
