Review: SingaPlural 2016

I was bored within 3 minutes.

To be fair, they made the media wait without any explanation for 45 minutes before finally starting the tour. By then, I was irritable by the wait and lack of a decent apology. But Mandy was excited about the tour so I went along.

There were a handful of interesting activities. Workshops that costed on the steep side, installations that looked fancy, an overall atmosphere of a thriving art scene. There were free flow champagne and red wine for us but noooo you can't buy my editorial integrity that easily.

The whole time I was there, I was merely looking for photo backdrops. I dropped out of the media tour early as my heels were killing me but Mandy went on to see this exquisite Delessard inspired ceiling and a mirror corridor.

But besides that, it isn't anything amazing. I love my Singapore Night Festival and Singapore Writer's Festival but this one was far from the same standards.

Met my starring man after!

He was in a spectacular mood because his mates were discussing the girlfriends they saw at the anniversary party. They stopped when they saw him and kept sliding their fingers up their thighs, gesturing to where my slutty dress cut off. And followed up with "waaa your one hot ah."

And he claimed he beamed with pride and now feels mighty happy that he got new respect for scoring such a hot girl. Sometimes I wonder if he just says nonsense to make me happy but most days I know it doesn't matter - I really lucked out when I met him :)

We finished Code Geass before bed.

I teared when the scene of Rolo's death came up and he was overjoyed. He wanted me to be as heavily invested in the characters as he was so he kept watching me to check if I cried at crucial parts of the show lol. So cute.

I think he was really upset because I didn't go "wowwwww" and refused to believe me when I said I foresaw the next Zero. It makes sense right? When things go south enough, someone will rise against it. The surprise was just the face behind the mask.

He was additionally upset because he misted up during the Lelouch death scene while I was like "urgh poor ending." aww my adorable baby. I kept stroking his head cooingly till he swatted me away.

So I had to save my ass and compose the longest message today telling him why it is actually impressive and I was just sleepy yesterday that's why I didn't realize the true extent of this show's ending. Which somewhat stands true, but I still expected better.

Fell asleep really badly because he was convinced there were fleas jumping out of the blanket onto his skin so we had to sleep without a blanket, leading me to waking him up in the middle of the night demanding warmth and him sacrificing his pillow for me :')

My darling thing.
