First day of work

Was pretty smooth.

I picked up all sorts of business wisdom in the morning, followed by a hurried lunch and an early bus ride home because my office laptop was down. I have my own desk, my own little office, and my own air con! What a nice feeling.

I don't want to go on too long about work, but I'm looking mighty forward to the KL bonding trip and a merchant meeting with Rakuten. Just thinking about Rakuten, Zalora and Lazada is making my skin crawl with excitement now.

Also, finally after two months of unemployment, Fridays are back to becoming the joy they should be. Unemployment blends the days and nights into one. Employment worships Fridays. And thank god I am back on my knees.

But not for too long I hope.

Lucky charms that I wore to work today.

I love my birthday necklace.

I wore the anchor one yesterday and baby flipped, asking if I lost the diamond one. He doesn't know, but I love it best not because of the diamond, but because of how excitedly he presented it to me, as if it was his own birthday present.

I think my biggest motivation for work, apart from my sincere eagerness to absorb everything that my equally sincere manager is imparting, is the money. Oh the sobbing money. I can finally throw this piece of crap laptop in the trash.

And also it means quick funding for both my car and bike license. I am pretty sure that if I ever die one day, it will be because I was riding. There is no premonition stronger than this particular one. But my office is so deep in MacPherson that I may as well try. But that's my own problem to sort.

Can't wait for Singapore Night Festival tomorrow!
