Review: Drury Lane Cafe

Baby was sick and so he had to leave camp early.

Poor baby. He had no food at home so he made his way over to Tanjong Pajar, where my next class was. We headed to Drury Lane, a cafe I've been to once but never found exciting.

I intended for this to be a food review lol but I COULDN'T DO IT. I cannot do this sell-out schtick. I can take photos and talk about the interior and atmosphere but GOD I hate describing food. It is a fool's job.

Not only that, I live only once and am I really going to spend 10 minutes of this limited lifespan crafting out the perfect descriptor? Yes I enjoy my eggs benedict and I can tell you where's the best, but I cannot, for the life of me, describe why.

Wow my Weekender food writing hangover days are not over it seems.

Still as anti-food-writing as humanly possible.

The baked egg pot was chunky with beans, quite a novel spin. The smoked salmon was pretty ordinary. The toast was thick and crispy and great. Everything came together swankily. Okay that's the best I can describe it.

Baby's banana and strawberry milkshake tasted like what horror movies would if they had actual flavor.

His rosti was pretty good too. At a glance, it looked like a disaster. At a second glance, it still does but it only reminds you that it cost $15 so just eat lor. Interestingly, I found it better than my baked eggs. I accredit it to the avocado and sauteed mushrooms.

Headed to WeBarre after that while baby left for home.

My vanity can build homes in African if you guarantee it some photogenic memorabilia at the end.

Spent the day at home recuperating because WeBarre destroys legs like they're rats in a kitchen. Headed over for dinner with baby and instead of just Dotaing, we spent time today lovingly massaging each other.

It was his turn to massage me after me working him for a good 20 minutes and he was so adorable. He was in the middle of massaging my face when he saw my cheeks. I didn't know what he was doing but he kept going on about how cute they were so he took a video.

I was in his lap and staying still, then he commanded me to smile and I did. He laughed aloud again and then stopped the video, showing me how my cheeks are puffy when still and rises up when I smile, like two tiny hills. He was so entertained hahah.

I have the best thing.
