Day 5: 5 Days in Bangkok for SGD$500

Today is our last day :(

We woke up pretty late and headed to the last few pit stops of the trip, the first being the temple that was blown up some months ago. My sister pointed out that the restoration work done was excellent.

That was when I realized I didn't even know where they blew up because this place still looked pristine and holy. The magic of belief.

Awww we all have the same eyes!

Passed by a little pier my mum insisted photos at.

Grandma looking mighty happy with this pit stop.

She was looking forward to the flower market and temple visits but we had to give the flower markets a miss because they wanted a final shopping at Platinum Mall. So my grandma only had this temple stop left, which she really liked; she asked for a photo without me prompting heh heh.

Me, my brother, my sister and dad got bored after a while and sat on a porch sharing 80 baht chips and 60 baht ice cream while waiting for the rest to be back. We knew hunger that day because everyone was snatching for my chips :(

Headed to Platinum Mall after and we separated one last time.

My sister and I finished our shopping quick because we wanted to go for a final massage. She hadn't taken an ootd all day and tried to take one at the overhead bridge that links Platinum to Pratunam.

A group of thuggish guys were blocking the other side of the bridge so I couldn't take a full photo of her. She got so irritated, she walked up to the guys and roughly told them to excuse themselves and told me to stand in their place.

?!?! What is this new gutsy sister?!

I am now the less hardcore sister.

The photos turned out underexposed so we took another at the fantastically grunge bus park between our hotel and Pratunam. It took a few angling tries but we got it.

Till this day I still think it's one of the most aesthetically pleasing shots I've ever had taken:

After that was our final massage and a quick ride back to the airport.

Our chauffeur was a guy we met earlier that day. He was an educated man and talked to us about his family. He said all his son does all day is eat and make children. We were confused until he said the son, a 17-year-old, now has two kids. Make children. Mmm.

Despite our initial misgivings about the baggage weight capacity, we managed to slip through!!!!!! I was overly flirtatious with the cute Scoot guy at the counter but hey THAT GOT US A 95KG CHECK IN AT THE PRICE OF 88KG. I am useful.

Went for one last meal!

And then check in!

The plane home was quick. I was alone in my seat with an assigned meal and a shit ton of food in my bag. I honestly told everyone had meals too so I just ate without realizing nobody in my family had food but me.

So I overate (to not waste) when I could've shared it with everyone, especially my dad who went up and down the rows trying to find me and my sister to get food from us to feed my brother.

I AM THE UNINTENTIONAL GLUTTON.

After a while, we touched down to our 1st uncle waving at the check out. He drove a lorry here and everyone climbed into the back but me, who had to sit at the front and direct him to Gabriel's place for my last luggage.

When we reached, Gabriel thought it would be happy to knock on the lorry and gruffly go, "Immigration! Passport please!" and my mum happily shouted, "Passport we have many many!"

It is amazing how easily this man makes my family and I smile. I will never tire of it.

Went home and fell asleep faster than a-
