Day 1: 5 Days in Bangkok for SGD$500

This is my second time traveling with my family!

The first was Genting with my family and that was a great weekend. I loved every minute of it. I attribute it mainly to the cooling weather. The second was Vietnam with my grandma and uncles/ aunt and I hated it. My company was great but the weather was murder.

So this time, it was my full extended family, along with Gabriel, along with a weather set to kill. I was slightly apprehensive at first but it's Bangkok (my all-time favorite land) so hey, what can go wrong!

Photos taken by my grandma!

I took great pains to dye my hair for this trip heh heh. I've been doing yoga/ aerial nonsense and that meant I had to wash my hair 2 - 3 times a day, so any color would wash out as if my hair was a rag. So I tolerated my greenish hair.

But one day I snapped and in an eager rush to please baby, I went to dye it!And viola I LOVE MYSELF AGAIN DEAR GOD I BELONG TO RED.

Our first family photo in a long time :D

Everyone ignoring my camera.

Look at the height disparity! I was in 6" sneaker heels!

My naturally kiasu parents checked us in with 45 minutes to spare so me and the siblings started playing Uno. I was kicking ass at that till they changed it to a memory game. Then I retreated and lazed on my baby brother's knee.

Shitty memory is me.

In the end, Scoot delayed us for five hours due to bad weather so from a 5pm departure time, we ended up being pushed to 8pm. Which meant we would get to Bangkok in time only to sleep.

Butttt my optimistic family took that as a fantastic sign to go get dinner so off we went!

Had to take a photo of them in a straight profile heh heh.

We had dinner at a Vietnamese place because my mum had an insatiable craving for pho and it was pretty good, but my baby brother couldn't take it and ran to McDonald's halfway. My aunt joined him. Then my sister. Then everyone else.

Had so much time to kill that we decided to head to Terminal 2 to check out their stuff.

Look at me and my pretentious bridge!

I was sad because I could see the Star Wars ship and Stormtroopers RIGHT OUTSIDE my terminal but I couldn't go through. Instead all I have is the pretentious French town model. And also some really pretty firs.

Which worked out to be the best family photo backdrop ever :)

As you can see, I like taking photos of my family heh heh.

We finally boarded and because we were seated separately, my dad thought it would be a good idea to send this to the family group chat, right after my mum sent, "Off 4g pls."

My dad is no whipped man. He wants to use 4g means HE WANTS TO USE 4G.

And naturally we replied!

Hehe so cute!

Sister fell asleep mid-flight and so I had my Modern Family all to myself. Zoned out for a bit and wrote a long text to baby that ended up deleting itself. You suicidal text you.

And in a while, we touched down.

Our slave for the day.

I don't have much photos here on out right after touching down, we rushed straight to get a sim card and then to the hotel. Which reminds me (from an unbiased, experienced reviewer): Never stay at Pratunam's KC Place.

I fucking hate the place and I will come to it in the following few posts.

But besides that, yay our Bangkok adventure begins!
