One of the reasons why I adore talking to this group of chicks so much is that they are all incredibly proficient at expressing themselves and their interesting thoughts. The kind of response you'd expect from writers. Oh my god if we were drinking ale, it would be a salon session.
Moving on, tonight's highlight was a creepy story on an old colleague. Also our dating misadventures. Not so much a misadventure for me since I have already found the love of my life so it was just a lot of unnecessary sharing on my side HEH HEH HEH.
In unrelated news, I saw a flying cockroach yesterday. I've always known the better ones could fly but seeing it in action was the final knob in a gear. This is why the little fuckers can survive every single apocalypse the universe throws at them.
G once said that if we line up enough humans and throw them off a building one by one, eventually, one of them will learn how to flap enough for its own survival. And I do agree.
In fact, it was in the unassuming show America's Ninja Warrior where I first realized how quickly the best (keyword: best) of us adapts.
Let's say 4/10 contestants fall into a pit. The 5th one manages to cross it, but falls at another obstacle. The 6th one will take the 5th's method and surpass him. And the 7th will take the 5th's and 6th's method to surpass them both.
In the end, the survivor will be the one who not only manages to pick out the moves it learned watching, but also the one whose natural body is superior enough to be built for this.
You could show me every trick in the book and I would still fail within 5 seconds of Ninja Warrior because my short stature and limited body strength will bring me down faster than a fat kid eating big macs.
Putting this back into the situation, I believe the thrown off dudes will eventually learn how to minimize their chances of death.
I imagine the first ones will try to close the distance between them and the building and try to grapple their way down. The second would do the same then find an structure to break their fall with. The third will be the ones strong and smart enough to learn how to change their fall directions, to throw themselves on a nearby structure, and to break their fall by curling up their body. And those will be the ones worthy enough to continue our species.
Also side note, my iFly experience has taught me that given enough falling distance, you can control your fall easily. A slight arm raise would propel you all the way back up and a leg raise will spin you immediately out of control. I know because I lost control two out of two times I was there heh heh.
Okay too lengthy so abrupt stop here.
