God save this date

Because it is definitely, irredeemably beyond fucking hope.

Despite the searingly painful title, I actually did have a good day today. I found my clementine von radics on the table, helpfully brought up by my mum. My god I am gifted with the most loving family.

So in a good mood, I strutted to visit my grandma and she nagged at me over my red hair and my tiny appetite and my itty bitty clothes. We also watched an auntie show together. I remembered the characters's back-stories better than her. Goddammit I am turning into a full fledged auntie.

I have a photo stream of her prepping her hair for this photo!

It is not showing up on my laptop so I can't gif it but I am gonna keep it forever. Also, check out my grandma's shirt! She is the epitome of soft grunge. Ignore the auntie pendant. Or take it in. Good both ways.

My grandma and I share similar tastes in clothes. From as long as I can remember, she was always wearing red or leopard prints or shirts with fancy lacy designs. And surprise surprise, I turned out the same hahah. I even wore her shirts at one point.

I will forever mourn the day ris low mispronounced leopard prints, causing every single single-digit-iq moron in singapore to mock her and the prints. I had to retire my arsenal of leopard printed tops and dresses out of conformity. It was a dark day for my wardrobe.

I am pretty proud that I managed to play the verse of terrible things within three minutes of getting all the notes nailed. And that I remembered all my old sight-reading formulaes. What a nice day!

Also a funny youtube man commented, "Ha ha! How to play terrible things in three minutes, get it? Get it?" Heh heh that's pretty good.

Red is liberating indeed.

Today I was googling what newton's laws of motion were. I always thought there were six. Apparently, there are only three laws, and each of them is more poetic than the last.

Newton's first law states that every object will remain at rest or in uniform motion in a straight line unless compelled to change its state by the action of an external force (also known more poetically as the state of inertia)

Newton's second law explains how the velocity of an object changes when it is subjected to an external force. The law defines a force to be equal to change in momentum (mass times velocity) per change in time.

Newton's third law states that for every action (force) in nature there is an equal and opposite reaction.

There were case studies for each example but you needn't bother with that, just picture these three and project it onto yourself.

The first law is spot-on. Do you remain in the same job for fear of unemployment? Do you remain in a sad relationship for fear of loneliness? There you go! State of inertia, with you being the titular character choosing to remain at rest or maintain uniform motion.

The second law is boring. I fell asleep at f = m x a. It reminded me of my stupid engmec module and far be it from me to touch anything vaguely reminiscent of engineering again. No poetic mess here!

The third law is throne-worthy. For every action, there is a reaction. What goes up must come down. For every peak, there will be a trough. Just this alone should be on every motivational twitter account's header.

What a thinkpiece.
