I love this coffee-shop at 153 Bukit Batok Street 11. It was the stuff of my childhood. Me and my sister and brother would wait in the car while my parents went to buy food. Sometimes we follow them and I'll go to the bookstore and stock up on Enid Blyton. It was a magical time.
I never brought any of my ex-es here because I didn't want someone temporary to ruin a place of permanent happiness for me. But it was Gabriel, and I was dying to share this happiest time of my childhood with him.
And he was so sweet too. We were very lost and I was late for class and I wanted to skip it but he insisted. And we made it!!!
Don't know why I didn't take any photos but we had a lovely breakfast of zai mifen, chee chong fun and rice cake, all the wonderful things I used to eat with my parents here as a child. God I love that memory. I love this place.
After that he sent me to yoga class at Studio Sands while he went to the mechanic.
And then it was Johor Bahru, again!
We didn't know where to eat at but Naughty Nuri was curiously full for a weekday afternoon so we headed in!
He ordered the best ribs in town, because he has a weakness for 'best of!' anything haha.
Mine was a aglio olio with seared salmon. It was fantastic to the last bite. He kept stealing it off my plate. It's hard for me to appreciate aglio olio because I live for cream base but this place nailed it. Not to mention the seared salmon glided off my knife at every easy cut. YUM.
His ribs were great too. I didn't used to eat ribs but Gabriel is a ferocious carnivore so now I have the sinful (literally since I was a Buddhist by birth) taste for beef and ribs. This was worth the sin.
After that was our newfound massage place and then back to my bed :)
