Family day out

It was my mum's birthday and an early Father's Day celebration, rolled in one!

We haven't went out together as a family in a while. I attribute to my baby brother's sheer aversion to leaving his bloody computer seat. He used to cry at the mention of going out together. Actually, he still does :/

Today we managed to drag his ass out only because it was my mum's birthday and Father's Day. So he mourned the loss of like 3 hours of computer time by sleeping at the buffet table. Jesus Christ.

But I'm glad anyway to have had some time out with the family. We finally have photos together!

Everyone was dressed in white but my sister didn't get the memo so here's her in blaring yellow haha.

I kept fidgeting with the smoke snorkel thing.

It was meh.

I do not get bbq places. I am an overpaying customer, why must I cook my own food! Why can't you offer more seasoning and sauces for your raw, lazy meat! Why am I paying to work!

This is exactly why the rest of the world is confused by Asians. We always go the extra mile to do unnecessary work, going as far as paying to do work. Yay us.

Food was mediocre, I expected more. I actually previously reviewed K.Cook under Weekender and I already remember leaving them a bland review. WHY DID I ALLOW MYSELF TO GO BACK!?

Anyway, it was pretty good because my family managed to exchange at least 20 words, an all-time high for this awkward family!

Photos after with a poster that my dad says does not indicate at all that we were ever there, but that my mum insists is good enough.

We were making such a din trying to take an inclusive selfie (or selfish, as my dad pronounces), that a couple of nice strangers came over and offered to take over photography duty.

Thank you, random citizen!

After that we just milled around waiting to go home.

By now I have missed my aerial class because I didn't expect my dad to deliberately drag out eating the full buffet hour so I was getting mopey too.

We headed home after.

My mum was so happy that we're so together that she insisted on taking a photo in the train. My dad complained we looked like tourists but my mum ignored him.

Still a happy day out!
