Review: Extreme Fitness Clementi

Right opposite my place, Extreme Fitness is the newest kid on the block.

I hate Clementi Sports Center's gym. The facilities are fine but the cardio is separated from the weights, so every single time I go in, I'll be too intimidated by the muscle at weights to go over. I end up wasting my time on pointless cardio.

Extreme Fitness seemed like a pretty good choice because it was empty (I went on a weekday morning so) and I thought YES I CAN FINALLY TRY LUNGES WITH WEIGHTS but nooo there were STILL guys hogging the area.

They left seconds after I decided to leave. Damn it all!

The facilities are not bad but the place is tiny, so everyone can see everyone. Later in the year, I went for a personal training session here and the instructor was skilful and patient, helping me into the correct form and exercises for my intentions (a nice ass).

The weights area was small so I estimate only 4 - 5 people can be working out there at any one point. Any more than that and you'd end up knocking each other over. Unless you're a female, in which case they'd clear out fast as quicksand and discreetly watch you workout.

Thank you tiny shorts + tiny sports bras.

Today I told my baby brother to stop playing Hearthstone.

I ranted that the game was just simple mathematics and insisted it wasn't that hard to play. I also might have mentioned it was lame. I complained that the game got Gabriel asking me what's 9 + 3 when he was calculating damage.

I said, "I'd be so good at the game please, I have a background in engineering!"

And my baby brother, bold as brass, asked,

"But where's your cert?"

And I spent the next fifteen minutes chasing his ass.

But today is still a good day because when I greeted my dad at the lift this morning, he actually smiled at me before going off. HE SMILED AT ME! As you can tell I am very starved for my dad's approval.

It is also a good day because I finally drove on the main road and it really isn't as bad as I imagined. I am terrified of going over 50km/h though. And also I have a building phobia of braking and starting. Everything else is pretty smooth (my instructors will tell you otherwise but PFFFT.)

What an unexpectedly great day heh heh,
