Review: Five and Dime

Today we re-did our first date.

It wasn't like him to be so romantic hahaha, so when he said five and dime, all my limited beauty tools came out. I have eyeliner and hair sprayed used in agreeable portions here. I had to look perfect for my perfect man.

And all of the things he said, the one he went with when he first saw me was, "Awww you should have clipped up the right side, then you'd look so hot," as he hooked my hair sprayed fringe over my ear.

NO MORE HAIR SPRAYING EFFORTS FOR HIM.

My favourite man decided to pick up my phone and take photos of me. And it was endearing heh heh. He spent a long time taking the photos so I zoned out a bit. At one point he told me to stop stroking his legs :(

So if I look irritated, that must be it.

Halfway through he leaned in and held my hand over the table, saying that every single person in this cafe must be thinking how did a guy like him score a girl like me. And he mused that maybe they'd attribute it to either him being hung as fuck or rich as fuck.

I can vouch for one out of two heh heh.

I ordered the same dish as I did the first time, their mentaiko pasta.

He ordered their foie gras smoked duck cha soba.

I made a passing comment about how he did not order earl grey tea like the last time. And without missing a beat, he turned and got the waitress back, adding an order of green tea. Then he switched it to chamomile tea.

I almost forgot what I ordered heh heh so endearing that he remembered.

My magic man and his meal.

My mentaiko pasta was still as good as I remembered, but heavily lacking in ingredients. It's a $18 dish, surely they can afford to drop last night's prawns or last week's unused pork into it. But still pretty good.

But that's why baby ordered the smoked duck. It complemented the fish roe well, so if that is Five and Dime's ploy then you have succeeded! The smoked duck was soft and seasoned to the edge of saltiness but I LOVE IT. I kept taking more and more from his plate heh heh.

We tried to do the exact same route as our first date, but I took the wrong side of the bus unintentionally AGAIN, as I did on our first date. So we wound up taking buses everywhere and finally cabbing home.

I had cramps and kept whining for his attention so he kept coming over to soothe and pacify me. I hid in his blankets whenever he he left the room and whenever he comes back, he'll always open it up and check on what I was doing in this baby voice. So very endearing awww the little things he does.

I wanted to watch a video he was telling me about, regarding privater affairs. He said one of the things they taught was that he had to make me fall in love with him again. That he had to ensure I trusted him fully.

He said it with so much love, lowering himself on me and hugging me gently while kissing my neck. And without a doubt, I knew I was falling in love with this man all over again. Gabriel all over.

What a wonderful wonderful night.
