Laptop to laptop, I always found a place for this massive folder. In this 52.3gb photo library are 364 individual folders carrying 28,663 files. Each folder is named after the person in them and the location.
My folder is clean and nostalgic, with a strict policy - no ex lovers. I do not care if we traveled together, I do not care if you celebrated my grandma's birthday. If we're done, we're done, and I will erase you off everything.
So for me, it never was a problem with remembering good times while putting in blank faces. In fact, by this theory I could say I traveled Taiwan and Bangkok alone last year. It doesn't matter to me. They don't matter to me.
There was only ever one exception and I forgot about his folder because I hid it when we ended things. Today I was cleaning up and I found it again. And in that folder, I found a surprise kinder egg. And it made me smile.
From the final letter I wrote him:
We named our kids – Alexandra and Alexander. Actually you named them. I insisted on Constantine but you constantly wouldn’t hear of it. Your future kids will be so lucky (even though you want to extend their ear holes from young what, who does that).Constantine.
Such a long time ago, I've already begun my passionate search to have a Constantine in my life. He would be a constant factor (heh heh) in my life and if I could not find such a name to be my lover, then I'll settle for a son.
And little did I know that two years down, I would get my first taste of a Constantine, and that this taste would last me a lifetime. The protagonist in my favorite book got the Constantine and now, I'm living her dream too.
How strange the world works. How glad I am to be marveling at it with you.
