Attended the media preview of "Happy Foodie New Year" today with hazel!

Here are snippets of my experience at the place, which is incredibly near hazel so for once she isn't late. It is incredibly near me so I was late by two minutes. Also realized I really need a name card. And taller heels.

The food in our plates isn't obvious because we're too vain to focus on it and instead focused on ourselves (I mean look at my still-somewhat-red hair and glowing smile), but here's the very quaint story behind it!

"Poon Chai was a dish born in wartime years. Back in the days when food were scarce, the folks had nothing to offer the soldiers fighting for them. So, in an effort to offer a feast, they pooled all the ingredients they had together, hopefully to create a dish beyond themselves.

And they did!"

I am unsure if I make a good story re-teller hahaha.

To be honest, for how much I love Chinese New Year, I have never got around to finding the history behind them. Today made me realize that times can and will always change, but traditions will always stay.

Catch Cavin Soh and the happy chefs on Happy Foodie New Year Premiere!

Timbre at night with the sim folks. And it was a good night.

We drank and ate and talked shit and hahah it was very cute watching april and mintao in all these new personalities that I've never seen before. And it was cute seeing charleen and vivian and their nonsense too.

In the end I had to leave early because I needed to go get my namecard design by this week and I haven't fully furnished this blog and my resume is still not polished and I have so, so much work to do.

Which led april to conclude that I'm a workaholic. And I like that title.

Nicole the workaholic.

No longer Nicole the alcoholic.

Wooo + points for me!
