Went to intercontinental with mintao and april!

They were completely understanding and very kind to understand that I couldn't stay for USS and gladly went with me to my happy place. April tried to sleep then shove my ass off MY bed and mitnao then tried to shove both our asses off but guess who has the strongest ass of them all.









So vain tsk.

We lazed and talked about stuff and I think they are the people I know I'm bound to have a good time with everytime we go out. My confessions with them are shameless and no holds barred hahah.

If we ever fall out, they could threaten me with my every secret and I probably have to clean their houses forever in exchange for their silence. Or maybe I'll silence them. I am a dangerous woman.

Completely did not expect to win but it is a pleasant surprise. Wanted very much to catch bonnie and clyde but Bryan gave me an event last minute so I had to go but I'm definitely watching it tomorrow night!

Today I learnt from a wine aficionado that wines have feelings. He said the wines at this place were not settled because they were most likely flown in. And due to a variety of factors - turbulence, air pressure, temperature change, will lead to the wine being unstable.

To undo that, the wine has to be left to rest for possibly a month in a cooled storage so that it can settle down again and be pristine upon opening. He drew an imaginary graph of a rise, then plateau, then fall.

He explained wines have a opening expiry. It reaches its peak and while some wine are able to retain the taste, most of them will start to deteriorate quickly. Hence it is advised to drink when its at its best.

Additionally, he taught me how to hold a glass. Holding it with it resting on your palm will lead to your wine gaining your body heat. Holding it by the stem will cause heat travel to the wine too. Apparently for champagne, most of us will hold it by the base to ensure our body heat does not interfere.

A world of wine opened up to me today and I'm impressed beyond belief.

But I still don't like it so heh heh still wasted on me.
