Till I see you again

He left today.

I spent the whole of last night clinging onto him desperately. He was asleep but I kept waking up in the middle of the night to hug him and kiss him and breathe him in.

I didn't have a fitful sleep at all. I was so paralysed by the idea of him leaving for 3.5 months. I kept holding onto him and when I did eventually fall asleep, his alarm shrilled and I woke up with him.

He started the day in a bad mood. I don't know if he's covering up for his anxiousness at leaving home for so long, coupled with the general uncertainty of how this voyage will turn out, but I tried my utmost best to tolerate him.

I did some last minute packing for him and his mum said her prayers and we headed downstairs.

Usually, this is where we'd part. He'd get on his dad's van while I go for the bus. But today, he held my hand and led me to his dad's van. We tucked ourselves snugly into the too-small seat and he napped on my shoulder.

Throughout the ride, I kept whimpering and squeezing him, telling him how scared and sad I was. He kept kissing and hugging me, assuring me everything would be alright. But I kept trembling.

It was such a lovely trip. Me scared and shivering as I always do, and him strong and comforting as he always is. God I love him.

His dad bought him coffee and us peanut cakes but I was so distraught that I couldn't eat anything. I just kept holding onto him trying to not fall apart.

We reached too soon.

How am I going to carry on without you to turn to for 3.5 months?

Saying goodbye was the hardest thing.

I watched him board the stupid bus taking him away from me for 3.5 months. And all I could do was try my damnest not to cry in front of his colleagues.

I wanted to activate my Guavapass afterwards and just pound the rest of the day in studios but I was so worried he'd call. I stayed home instead and kept a virgil by my phone.

He spluttered out a text or two, and he was gone.

There my heart go.

Before you go

YAY FIRST FREELANCE CHEQUE!

I was almost too excited to sleep last night heh heh. I've been gunning for this cheque since April and when I finally held it in my hands, a tear rolled down my cheek while the skies parted to let a spot of sun-ray dance in the solitary droplet.

Gabriel sent me there so I had a chance to show him what I usually eat when I'm at work. despite being fiercely carnivorous, I love zai mifen as if it's the last good thing in my life. The one here at Aljunied is fantastic. It's also the only thing I missed hahaha.

We then ran a couple of errands and ended up again in Nun Song Yee!

Told you I love this place.

I was getting increasingly unstable as tomorrow was his sailing already and I kept whimpering and whining and he had to keep pacifying me telling me everything was going to be fine. YOU DON'T KNOW! WHAT DO YOU KNOW! :( I am a crybaby.

We headed to Chomp Chomp to meet the rest of his family.

His mum took this to send it to him as a surprise tomorrow haha so cute.

After a satisfying dinner (for them, mostly, I don't enjoy coffee-shop food much), we headed for dessert. By this time, I was clinging to him everywhere already. Even when he went to order, I followed him into the store and refused to let go.

Hence this photo:

I spent the rest of the night clinging onto him and smelling him for dear life :(

Great world after all

Baby brought me to Great World City!

I used to love this place because it was secluded and classy. It's since lost its appeal to me but since we had nowhere in mind, I thought we could revisit this place.

He picked me up from my place, where I was being all pouty. Instead of coodling me and sayanging me, he decided to take photos of it lol. I look so cute. I should pout more. Gabriel 0 Nicole 1. PURPOSE DEFEATED!

Rode to Great World City after!

My cheeks are the stuffing of turkeys.

We were too early for our movie so we dropped in Poulet for lunch. I was feeling ridiculously sleepy and so was he. We both ended up chugging tea and coffee respectively to stay awake. No idea what bit us.

But of course, he snapped awake when we were discussing what to do after the movie and I said we could wash his bike. I like washing and cleaning and besides I estimate it done within an hour but then he went on about an hour more for polishing etc. I regretted my decision immediately :/

Can't get over this gorgeous montif.

We headed back to his place, intending to doze for a bit before starting the great wash. But I ended up distracted with online shopping and he couldn't wait so he started alone. Everything about the stupid bike gets him excited. Jesus.

While he worked the black beauty, his parents and I stressed over packing his stupid sailing bag for him because he has no priorities, obviously. Choosing to buff a bike that'll be his brother's for 3.5 months and not actually packing for his 3.5 months sail.

But in the end, I went down and helped with everything. It is quite magical actually, especially at this part where I was cleaning the bike chain. My God what is he turning me into!!!

Fell asleep with the happiest bike owner in town.

Review: Naughty Nuri's

We had breakfast at my childhood place!

I love this coffee-shop at 153 Bukit Batok Street 11. It was the stuff of my childhood. Me and my sister and brother would wait in the car while my parents went to buy food. Sometimes we follow them and I'll go to the bookstore and stock up on Enid Blyton. It was a magical time.

I never brought any of my ex-es here because I didn't want someone temporary to ruin a place of permanent happiness for me. But it was Gabriel, and I was dying to share this happiest time of my childhood with him.

And he was so sweet too. We were very lost and I was late for class and I wanted to skip it but he insisted. And we made it!!!

Don't know why I didn't take any photos but we had a lovely breakfast of zai mifen, chee chong fun and rice cake, all the wonderful things I used to eat with my parents here as a child. God I love that memory. I love this place.

After that he sent me to yoga class at Studio Sands while he went to the mechanic.

And then it was Johor Bahru, again!

We didn't know where to eat at but Naughty Nuri was curiously full for a weekday afternoon so we headed in!

He ordered the best ribs in town, because he has a weakness for 'best of!' anything haha.

Mine was a aglio olio with seared salmon. It was fantastic to the last bite. He kept stealing it off my plate. It's hard for me to appreciate aglio olio because I live for cream base but this place nailed it. Not to mention the seared salmon glided off my knife at every easy cut. YUM.

His ribs were great too. I didn't used to eat ribs but Gabriel is a ferocious carnivore so now I have the sinful (literally since I was a Buddhist by birth) taste for beef and ribs. This was worth the sin.

After that was our newfound massage place and then back to my bed :)

Nothing beats seeing progress

Started the day with Yin Yang at Anahata.

Much as I like Anahata, I stopped going because that whole area of Bugis is inaccessible for me. Tirisula, YogaTime and Anahata is the trinity of prime yoga classes in that area but it's so far from the MRT that I get frustrated.

I managed to go today only because my darling man sent me to class! He had to head to work last minute and was mad about it but he fulfilled his duty of making sure I get to my day's start before his :') so bloody sweet.

Headed to Wings to Wings for ballet cardio after! I was but the kind folks agreed to let me take the barre express after so I went for that! It was too short for my liking so there's not much to say.

After that the studio was empty so me and a fellow-minded vain chick (heh heh) stayed back and took ace photos!

MY GOD LOOK AT IT! NEVER DREAMED I COULD DO THIS ONE DAY!

Yes I'm leaning forward like Pisa but DAYUM.

Almost cried looking at this batch of photos.

I'm too lazy to drag out the old photos but once upon a time (specifically 7 months ago), I couldn't even bring my leg up to a 90-degree even with my hand holding it. Now, it is beyond 90-degree and on it's way to 180-deg! Oh joy.

Night time was baby coming to clementi to fetch me to his place, and we must've had a quarrel of sorts because I locked myself in his room but I think it all worked out :)
