She was telling me about her stuff when I decided to be an ill-timed funny woman and ask her what she'd do in a purge a la The Purge. I lied to her and told her it's a legit event in the US.
Not sure how long she'll take before realizing I'm a dirty liar but moving along:

Would you?
I would answer it after checking my insurance validity. And I would answer it with no weaponry and unarmed. And I would answer it against all logic because very simply, I would be curious.
What are you going to kill me for?
Right now, in your chair or on your bed, can you imagine someone who would want your throat in their cat's little bin? Because honest to god I can't think of anyone.
Not because I think I haven't pissed off anyone, no no nope, pissing people off is an art I perfected in my spare time. But simply because, why would you want that kind of ledger on you?
To quote the Black (Stacked) Widow:

Ignore the latter line but remember the first line?
Probably not, you might have been too busy fixing up the said tent in your trousers. I know I was sobbingly happy throughout the whole of her beginning scene. All that rope and all that skin in that little chair and that little dress.
But let's not digress with me to an impossible abyss of the female celebrities I want to sleep with.
Have you thought about the killing in movies? To kill someone is to leave an eternal mark on yourself that nothing will ever fix because very simply - he/ she is dead. What are you going to do about it? What can you?
We watch movies where killing is glamorized and whoa look at that samurai slashing through fellow samurais like fruit ninja and we think nothing of it but when you take a closer look - what are you killing?
You have destroyed the family, the woman/ man, the future of a man, whose fate in the future may one day or another intertwine with you again. You take his breath away (literally) and you can never give it back.
Why would you want that in your ledger?
To have the conscience, the morals, the beliefs, the final burn of another man/ woman's eyes in your ledger forever? Hence if you were to come to my door on a day in the purge, I would gladly open.
Sure I have no time to show you this post and say "eh siao eh pls read and realize my conscience will be forever latched onto yours in my death" because the killer might get thrown off by the big word "conscience" and confuse it with "conscious" (like I used to be) and just shoot me unconscious.
But I have time to ask.
"What in hell are you?"
Before I die ungracefully on the porch of my door as the ants in my house rejoice over the death of the human who was always too pussy (I'd like to think I am a merciful god) to kill them but blows them away when they get too near her food.
But at least I'd have the final laugh, right?
At least I don't get to hear the messed up dude's comeback. What if its something lame and I am not dead enough and I hear it?! I'd have to get up and impale myself on my badly cooked spaghetti from the night before which have turned into frozen spaghetti spears.
And if its good, I get to die before thinking of a witty reply because my brain takes 3 to 5 working days to come up with a reply and by then he would've received his new assignment in Yio Chu Kang or something and would be too lazy to come back to Clementi for me.
(okay what was the point of this story again dammit)
Ah yes.
Regard all life around you as equals.
I once braided my hair for Universal Studios and when my friend saw a stray rope at the Jungle Canopy ride, he immediately grabbed my ponytail and screamed "AVATARRR CONNECT" and tried to push the rope to my head.
That story has a point but I lost it. Okay here it is again. My point is - eventually, this is all one same Earth. We were born from this Earth and we will die on this Earth. We are all connected one way or another, in thought or in soul.
So again;
Regard all life around you as equals.
Never unnecessary kill an ant or pluck a flower. Always do what you can to leave the surroundings around you as intact as it was before you. Do not be unnecessarily brutal. Always choose kindness over cruelty.
Keep your ledger clean.
