I am not substituting you.

I just see you in every man. That's all.

It's not the same.

I'm not ruined.

I can be happy.

Can I?

Hello the rainbow cardigan I've loved for 2 years!

Dinner with the girls and simon and stephan and I'm incredibly happy to see the girls so happy with their hair and even happier to see simon grow so much as both a person and as a hair stylist.

From the guy who gave me a home hair cut 2 years ago with a fiery temper and a fickle heart, to a man who has enough potential to head his own team of stylists and has aged in maturity like fine wine.

But then there's the stuck ones like Kevin and Junwei.

Still,

So fucking proud of my friends.

sidenote: When will I ever be proud of me?

It is no exaggeration when I say I fucking love Swee Choon.

Review: Stew Küche - a German dining experience

When Bryan texted me for a German food tasting session, the first thing I thought of was bratwurst.

For the not-as-informed (self promoting is no promoting Nicole sigh), bratwurst is what the Germans call our "sausages" and "hotdogs". And it seemingly is the only thing they eat besides beer.

Yes to me Germans eat beer. They eat bratwurst and beer while dismantling their rifles for their newest 2-year old to re-assemble. My god what a wonderful impression they have on me. Okay let's not digress.

So I honestly was not expecting anything but beer batter bratwurst.

Cuee a Thursday night me, Bryan, Lena and Ebel subsequently spent at Queensway Shopping Center first before finding our very convenient way to the newest German eatery at the block -

Enter Stew Kuche:

(right around the corner of OG factory's bus stop!)

Ever wondered why IKEA's bus stop is all the way at the OG factory?

Because IKEA is for the unintended.

Why walk that heat-scorched distance to IKEA when you can drop right by Stew Kuche? Conveniently located near the bus stop, it is a quick stone's away. And unlike IKEA, THERE IS BEER.

Add in mains and beer, you have German heaven in a coffee-shop.

My friends know me and laugh at me consistently for not daring to eat all kinds of food. I only knew what's bak kut teh this year and till now I've never eaten a mango. But I was soooo enticed by their menu.

Enticed and a little confused because I really didn't know what to order. Everything seemed really foreign. So the nice folks over at Stew Kuche graciously decided serve us their finest beers and bestselling courses!

Introducing the elixir of the Germans:

Kopparberg's Naked Apple Cider;

My favourite of the night.

I am not a big beer fan because it feels too heavy. But this was a light, easy drink. It tastes like drunken apple. And it was a very nice complement to the following dishes.

And if light drinks are not your thing, there's these 2 other best sellers!

Personally didn't manage to try the other two because I cannot take strong alcohol but I heard from the other writers that the Weizenbier was something good. I do regret it now sighhhh.

EXCITEDLY WAITING FOR THE FOOD YAY.

Here we have their Squid Ink Pasta,

Pizza-hut was carrying this for the longest time and I never bothered a second look at it but this, this looked great. We waited a longgg time for this dish so I was extra ravenous for it. Still am.

I should not look at the photo.

Now I want it again arghhh.

So anyway, if it's not visible, there were the occasional prawns in the pasta which were yum yum and an absolute delight to suddenly find in the dish! I tried to be modest and not overeat but god it was delish.

Now this, this is their Half Knuckle.

And I love it.

My favourite dish of the night!

I didn't try the sides and instead dived straight for the main course. It was a pork dish, succulent on the meat and absolutely delightful on the crisp skin. And the sauce was tangy and a nice touch.

I truly couldn't stop grabbing for seconds of this. The skin of the pork was so yum yum ahhhh even thinking about it now is getting me hungry. How can something taste this good. You have to try this!

Well this is their Plain Rosti,

As the name suggests, it is a little plain. It would go well with some bratwurst but it was a dish by itself that came much later so we didn't get to try them together. But by itself, it tasted pretty good too!

Just spread a looooot of mayo for more flavour!

This is their Oxtail Soup.

And it was probably the most German dish of the night because it intimidated me hahah.

As fore-mentioned, I am a wuss in food and I generally don't try strange-looking dishes and this looked so aloof! (to me all food have personalities like whaddup Nicole what's with you) so I took a while.

But eventually I tore a bit of the baguette and decided food is king and food fear is a 8 letter phrase that an African kid will slap me for so it was a good decision! I loved the sauce and the chewy bread!

Take heed though, it's a little filling, your stomach will lose muchhhh of its capacity after this dish!

Finally, my idea of German condensed, their 3some Sausage,

I loved it.

There were 3 types of it - chicken, pork and cheese. And my god I loved the cheese one. Step up your game Gogo Franks, there is some new competition here. And they come in mega sizes.

The chicken one was normal, the pork one was spiced and it made my eyes water oh man what a wuss. But truly, it would've gone great with the plain rosti before. Still, a star has got to be enjoyed by itself and I would say, this dish is unmissable.

Because really and I cannot get tired of repeating this - WHAT IS THE FULL GERMAN CUISINE EXPERIENCE WITHOUT BRATWURST.

Stew Kuche hence concluded my German cuisine experience and it's a safe bet that I'll be back once or twice to come force my friends into the Great European mood with some beers.

And because I'm boliao like that, I googled "the best German photo ever" and:

Advertorial: Heart Travel Kit Case

I finally updated my arsenal of contact lenses!

For the longest time I've been sticking to my Lavender Brown and I've gotten tired of it. Also I miss having gray mysterious eyes so I can complete my failing enigma look (read: failing again) so I ordered!

From no other than the contact lenses beauty in Singapore:

Kimmy x Geocontactlens.co ♥

I ordered 3 pairs from her after a year long sponsorship and she not only gave me a happy discount (thank you Kimmy!), but she included this absolutely darling travel kit case!

I don't travel a lot (I WANT TO I WANT TO SOON) but I go outside a lot for long hours on end and most of the time I have to be in contacts for beyond 18 hours and my eyes would be sore.

Even if I didn't need to bring them out, I'll still use them just to give my contact lenses a prettier home heh. Say bye bye to the disgusting free cases from the solution bottle, and say hello to chio-ness!

I especially love the little vial. I've added my own solution in it (in case I get stupid and spill the one in the contact lenses case) and now I'm never worried when I take out my contacts outside home.

And I love the kiap kiap because I don't need to dry my hands after washing my hands anymore. Now I can just kiap my lenses up and wash one finger and I GET TO BE LAZIER YAY.

And what about the crazily adorable color combination. I felt like a Barbie doll. I wish the case came in "N"s. But oh it's fine I'm flexible, I could be Ricole, no complaints no worries no issue!

And these are my vanity in GEO Super Nudy Gray:

What are you waiting for son?

Get your contacts and your pretty kit cases from http://www.geocontactlens.co/ today!

Thank you Lingzhi 姐姐 for the case! ♥

It's not hard to understand.

You're fucking perfect for me,
As I was for you,
As I am for you,
As I will forever be for you.

And I can show you I'll be the one.

Let me in.

Tonight was the funeral and I prayed for my family and you and watched everything go up in glorious, sad flames. With each piece set afire was every bit of me praying a little hard.

Is a peek considered looking back?
