The world was grey
You came
An artist with a palette
My happiest sun ray

When we met I was a wreck
You tried to save me
But how could you
When every time you leave
I fall again and again

A practiced misery
A self destruction
You were the pillar among the ruins
Trying to salvage whatever you can

I couldn't see

The skyline turns to grey
Each step you take away
The depths I fell back in

And now
A haunting day and night
Of tears, memories and fright
Things I could never tell you
Words I could never voice
Letters I could never send
My empty hands

But you must be happy
Mine I will trade for yours
Misery loves company
So I will take your place tonight
I pray for your every star light
To be forever bright

How are you darling?
