Pressing play

What can I say that is honest?

It could be that all my life, I have grown accustomed to be worshiped on a pedestal by my ex boyfriends. It could be that all my life, I have been pampered senseless by my ex boyfriends. It could be that all my lift, or rather all my love life, I never needed to be the one trying.

I am unclear which is the actual factor.

It could be that I'm more ready now to settle, and you happened to be here. It could be that I put reminders of you everywhere, to subconsciously implant you in my life. It could be that you simply throw me in the most serious case of boarding school's syndrome I've ever dealt with.

And do you know how I know?

Because you stopped caring about the little things. Be it this blog or my tweets - things you used to look to for more pieces of me have become nothing to you.

To be fair, to paraphrase the wisdom that Siewsia has graciously imparted me:

He did not change. He simply isn't the man he was when he met you anymore. This is because when he met you, he was trying to impress you. That wasn't the true him. That's the "I must impress Nicole" him. You say he's changed - no. He is changing back. That's all that's happening. He is going back to his original from. And if you cannot accept it, then it mustn't be love.

Typical to have the final call to action rest on me. Also Siewsia has a shit ton of wisdom for a girl who's never had a boyfriend. But the point is - that drove the point home.

And beyond that, it nailed the final nail on my willing coffin.

I am in love fully and utterly with you. And I will love you through the days of your indifference, your cruelty, your fucking shit anger words and your laziness for days of your endless love, your little ways of caring, your willingness to pacify me even when I'm at fault and your needy kisses when you see me after a long day.

I started this post back spacing through at least six posts. And finally, it turned out alright.

Misadventures of photo takers

We pretty much spent the day carrying around pam's coffee just so we'd have something to hold onto as we shoot hahaha yes we are pathetic in our little way.

Our location today was holland village. Pam's recommendation was a gorgeous little place with the most fucked up photography policy ever so here's a piece of advice for holland v lovers: give monocle cafe a skip. IT IS NOT WORTH IT. The house beside it is though.

Tada:

Look at how my hair falls in the second photo ahhh I live for moments like that.

d'Good Cafe has really overpriced food that is only worth it if you stay here for hours on end, leeching their power supply as you gorgeously type on your fancy mac.

If not, I'd give this place a go for their decor but a miss for their food.

Mu Parlour is another example of a fantastic looking place that just isn't worth it. I remember I had a cafe algorithm some post back but I can't be assed to find it now.

Regardless the point is, this place is gorgeous but my iced chocolate pictured is $8 so you get the picture.

Accidental find along Mu Parlour that felt filmy enough for a photo.

My slutty shoulder says hi.

See what I mean, this coffee takeaway cup is EVERYWHERE.

Night was spent with the poly dropout bunch. I shouldn't call them that since all of them graduated with 3.8 and above gpas but I MET THEM WHEN I FELL BACK A YEAR. What's a girl gonna call them heh heh.

I had my first legitimate strike and they looked so happy I thought they were gonna cry. Of course it is not because I kept whining and asking them to lose faster. Oh I have the best poly friends EVER.

Review: Chupitos cheers

I am a lousy drinker.

I am such a shitty drinker, my liquor is a joke among my friends.

But that doesn't stop me from trying, and that doesn't stop Friday night, so guess who found herself at Chupitos looking unsuitably glam and innately clumsy in her 15cm heels!

Whoop whoop fucking love my top.

Tristal loves Chupitos. They have cheap shots and everything comes in lovely pairs. It means you and a buddy can face off. And why face off with someone who drinks like a tank when you can face off someone who can't drink for shit.

So guess who had free happy drinks, seemingly against her will!

Pre-drinks while I still remembered my name.

And post drinks.

I have to give it to Chupitos for their creativity. They have peanut butter shots what the fuck and as if that's not weird enough, the truly odd thing is it tastes so surprisingly good that I miss it in my mouth as I write this.

The milo shot is highly raved but I've had it and it feels like it's kinda ruining my favourite drink instead. I've also tried the simmering blue shots that Yongwen introduces lovingly to me hahaha but none beats peanut butter.

As usual, I stopped being able to see straight after my third shot - I AM THE MOST AFFORDABLE DRINKER IN THE WORLD - and told them I couldn't take it anymore and flagged myself a cab straight to baby.

And so my boyfriend had to hug a human hot water bottle to sleep.

Lazy is me

I have been too un-bothered to get on here lately.

For good reason too. I have always envisioned this space to be inspiring and helpful but then again, I am too lazy to write anything inspiring and helpful so you see how we end up at ground zero.

But anyway, here is a small epiphany I had.

I never thought much of travelling. I always thought its for the experience, which is inclusive of the food, the people and the sights. I did not think further into the matter. Until I met Gabriel.

The first trip we planned wasn't the usual Batam, Bali nor Bangkok. The first time he planned was immediately for Gold Coast, but beyond that, he planned for a skydive.

And I was so terrified of the idea that honestly, I considered not waking him up when I got up on time on the day of our flight. When he finally rustled in bed and got up, I thought I was going to weep.

And this, "Ho fuck I'm going to die" mentality accompanied me all the way up till two minutes after I saw him leap off the plane with his instructor.

That was the exact moment a marquee rolled across my mind, "I live for this."

And then I jumped.

These few days have been excitement for my new job and more importantly, the pay surrounding it heh heh. I am planning my next few trips, with the mentality of, "One extreme sport per trip" and fuck it is a new adrenaline rush then when I'm planned with the mindset of, "One new place to see!"

Fuck yeah one new place to see, but from a bird's eye view.
